I did my classes and car hire with Gerry. Gerry is an amazing instructor. He helped me correct my every small mistake, many of which I was never of before! He helped me excel on reversing around the corner as that was one of my biggest weak point. He is quite a gentleman and a soft spoken person. He puts in his best efforts to ensure his students pass the test as well develop good and safe driving skills. He also was quite understanding and flexible to move our appointment dates based on my schedule. I would highly recommend taking classes with Gerry!

As someone who had previously done 12 lessons with another instructor and was not shown most things and left to drive straight roads with no time being spent on things I need to know, it totally put me off driving and thought I was the problem that I didn’t have the ability to be able to drive. I reached out to in gear this year and Paul( the owner )took me on right away and had been absolutely incredible from calming my nerves to showing me absolutely everything over and over having patience with me when I didn’t even want to be be in the drivers seat. My outlook on driving has completely changed I have now started to realise I do in-fact have the ability to drive and be a good driver i just needed time and patience. I have never felt as comfortable in the drivers seat than I do with Paul. I would 1000% recommend to anyone starting out it’s such a big thing to do but with the help of the in gear team you will achieve your goals 🙂

I was ready to quit due to horrendous treatment from other instructors in other driving schools but then a friend recommended Paul from In Gear and it was a complete 180.
Paul is professional and patient. He adapts to the learning needs of his students and quickly identifes what they need to work on the most.
My confidence in my own ability to learn was completely shot but Paul not only helped me regain my confidence but actually made me enjoy driving.
I'm currently waiting on a test date and I have no doubt I will pass. I will also book well in advance for some pre-test lessons.
Paul is very busy due to his exceptional teaching style and attitude but it is definitely worth the wait.
It was also so refreshing to meet someone who is not motivated by money. Paul genuinely loves helping others and you can see that his greatest reward is when his students pass.
Thanks to Paul, when I do pass, I will have the gift of independence and freedom but also the confidence that I am a safe driver.

Had the best experience learning to drive with John Wickam at In Gear driving! I was extremely nervous to start driving, I had put it off for a long time, mostly because I was terrified of the possibility of either hurting myself or someone else as I had been nocked down when I was quite young.
John’s witty and funny personality put me right at ease, I relaxed instantly and was able to learn to drive safely and appropriately. John is a fantastic instructor who has of patience and compassionate for learners. The best Driving Learning School in Ireland or even the world without a doubt. My instructor was Paul and he was absolutely amazing and funny. He brings so much enthusiasm and motivation to each lesson regardless of how he is feeling. He will always put the learner ahead of himself and always give you the 110%.
