The Essential Driving Training (EDT) programme was launched in 2011. We build our lesson framework around this, so you can pass your test with ease while also gaining valuable skills that will help you to become a safe driver.

Learning to drive with Martin was the most enjoyable and rewarding experience I could have ever asked for. I had John as my instructor and thanks to him, I passed the driving test on my first go! He was so lovely and patient, plus the atmosphere in the car was always positive which made such a huge difference to my driving as I always felt very comfortable. I did three 2 hour pretests with John which I think is what helped me pass on my first go. By the time the test came, I was fully prepared and don't think that would've been the case without those pretests. I would recommend In Gear Driving School and John in a heartbeat!

He helped me excel on reversing around the corner as that was one of my biggest weak point. He is quite a gentleman and a soft spoken person.
