I started learning to drive about 3 years ago and had lessons with 4 different instructors. They all had good driving skills, but not all of them knew how to teach. Gerry is the one who really knows how to guide you and help you work on your weak points. He is patient and approachable. When I did my driving test, I was very nervous and my mind went blank, but everything Gerry taught me had already become muscle memory, which helped me pass on my first try. I actually found him through a random Google search, and I feel super lucky that he became my instructor. I’ll always remember what he taught me and do my best to be a responsible driver. I’d definitely recommend Gerry to anyone looking for lessons in North Dublin.

I recently completed my 6 reduced EDT lessons with In-Gear Motor Training School, and my instructor was Aaron. He is an excellent instructor—very professional, patient, and easy to get along with.

The whole process was seamless. Aaron scheduled me in quickly and accommodated my request to complete all 6 lessons over just 2 days (3 lessons each day). He was always on time, picked me up, and dropped me back after each class.

During the lessons, he explained the rules of the road and car handling clearly, pointed out my mistakes, and gave me practical tips on how to improve before my driving test. His guidance has really boosted my confidence behind the wheel. On top of that, he’s a genuinely nice guy—we had plenty of laughs along the way, which made the learning experience even more enjoyable.

Highly recommend In-Gear and especially Aaron if you’re looking for a great driving instructor!

After a nightmare experience I had with an ADI who worked for his own company, who wasn't ready to teach anything, demanded money upfront but not doing the lessons quickly (took 23 days to do 6 lessons i.e just 3days of reduced EDT), I failed the driving test. I took 4 hours of pre test lessons with an experienced ADI at Finglas through InGear driving school. Ed from InGear driving school was extremely experienced and treated me kindly, answered all my questions, was very cooperative. Moreover, he constantly encouraged me and boosted my morale. This is the kind of ADI you need to be able to not just pass the test but to drive confidently after getting your license. I passed with almost no faults at Dun laghoire test center today. I highly recommend students to go to reputed schools like In Gear and do not choose lesser known instructors even if they have high ratings on google. Its very misleading and its better you save yourself the heartache. Ed once again thank you. All the best to everyone who is looking to get their full license.

Daniel was always easy to communicate with and very flexible when it came to scheduling lessons, which really helped with my busy routine. He constantly gave feedback after each session and kept track of my progress throughout the process.

Even though I have a full licence I hadn’t driven in 14 years. I needed to get back on the road and given how driving has changed I decided a few refresher lessons would be a good idea. Dan my instructor was superb, patient, encouraging and inspired confidence in me. I did 4 lessons with each one focused on getting used to the different road speeds/junctions etc. my last lesson was on the motorway and again Dan was encouraging to get up to 120kms and also manoeuvre through the lanes and exits. I can highly recommend him for any lessons whether you’re a first timer or just need a bit of a refresher.
